More Orangutan was Saved

Last week (Thursday, 15/10/20), our HOCRU team hit the road once we had report toward an isolated female orangutan inside of local resident’s plantation in Perkebunan Pulo Tiga village, Tamiang Hulu sub-district, Aceh Tamiang District, Aceh province.  This orangutan was found about 13 km away from her forest homes. Working together with the joint team of @bksda.aceh and local people, this orangutan that later named Sofi, was evacuated safely through the tranquilization process.

From her general health check, Sofi is estimated about 12 years old. Sofi is also stated to have a good health condition so that she can be released back to the wild on the same day. In the darkness, as it was quite late, our team get the biggest happiness to our team indeed to see Sofi can be able to roam back to her forest home once more.

Our team is more than often to ride in the middle of nowhere, to the most terrible road and not to mention extremely hard terrain in to save orangutan in need. At the moment, our team is in a need to have a new truck that can support our team to reach into these challenging terrain to save orangutan in need as soon as possible. Thus, kindly help our team to make this come true by donating to this link, #orangutansguardian.
