Masrizal Saraan, OIC Program Manager, has awarded a Professional Development Grantee by WWF-EFN to attend the World Ranger Congress 2016 in Colorado, USA from May 11st to 27th. This event consist of 2 activities ; pre-congress training organized by the Colorado State University and the World Ranger Congress in the YMCA Rockie Mountain, Estess Park, Colorado.
Masrizal has a fantastis experience due to visit at least 8 protected area in Colorado and, those are: National Eagle Repository and The National Wildlife Property Repository, the White River National Forest, The Colorado National Monument, Arches National Park, the Canyonland National Park, the Mesaverde National Park, the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
He also the only Indonesian representative to attend the World Ranger Congress 2016 between approximately 320 rangers from 64 countries.
Masrizal also become a speaker on the first day concurrent session to tak about “the Community-forest patrol in the Gunung Leuser National Park, part of Leuser Ecosystem in Sumatra, Indonesia”.
